SilverStone Raven 2 RV02
$180.00
Released August, 2009
The Pros:Great thermal design. Default fans have basic speed controllers, low speed maintains a respectable sound level. Completely black - including internals, sleek.
The Cons:No external drive bay door. Monstrous - heavy and large (non-transportable). Room for only 3 hard drives.
The SilverStone Raven RV02 is an enthusiast computer case that utilizes a 90° motherboard mounting layout, allowing for vertical airflow. With modern components producing significant amounts of heat, the RV02's rotated design allows for more efficient heat dissipation.

Unlike traditional cases, there are no motherboard connections on the rear side. All cables are neatly guided through the top panel to the backside of the case in order to keep a clean aesthetic. Three large 180mm fans with independent controllers lie on the bottom of the case to move cold air upwards, with a 120mm fan on the top to remove hot air. All the fans include removable dust filters. Users will find room on the reverse side of the motherboard tray to manage cables, which allows for an unobstructed view of the case's inside through the built-in window.
