NZXT Adamas

$210.00 Released April, 2007

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Very solid build quality, everything is very stable, everything is welded and screwed with no rivets. Included fans (4 x 12cm) are completely silent. Drive rails are designed perfectly, makes installation much easier.

The Cons:Space inside isn't as big as it could be, high end video cards are a very tight fit. Can't fit a 12cm water cooling kit in. PCI brackets get snapped off by design, can't be reused.

The NZXT Adamas is an aluminum midtower chassis designed to accommodate an ATX or Micro-ATX motherboard. Designed to support 300lbs of components, the Adamas hosts four 5.25” drive bays, six 3.5” bays, and four 120mm fans.

Included also are 7 expansion bays. Critics hail the case’s thick aluminum frame and quality build, but lament over the lack of space for internal components (such as a rear-based 12cm watercooling system), the old-fashioned drive installation (screwdriver required), and a badly designed heatsink system likely to easily collect dust and dirt. Some of the finer points include easy-to-remove panels, a stylish design, and superior & passive cooling “well beyond the needs of the average consumer.”
