The Cons:Difficult to fit the cooling system in. Only access is from the top, no other way to get inside. Despite bulky exterior, the interior tends to be cramped and hard to work with.
The MonCaso 972 is a high-end aluminum HTPC case from Moneual Lab. Presented a Design & Engineering award at CES 2008, the MonCaso 972 incorporates an 800 x 600 pixel 7” LCD touchscreen on the front of the case.

The MonCaso 972 features 1 external 5.25” drive bay, 4 internal 3.5” bays and 6 expansion slots for additional components like graphics and sound cards. The front panel includes ports for a microphone, headphones, 1 FireWire and 2 USB connections, a media card reader plus an integrated volume knob. This unit can fit standard ATX motherboards, in order to get all the features commonly offered by a full-sized board. The case also includes a set of 2 pre-installed 80mm fans for cooling. Additional accessories include a MonCaso remote for controlling media through the device. Moneual Lab’s MonCaso 972 measures 17" x 18.5" x 6.75", weighs 16.6 lbs and is available in black and silver.
