Lian Li PC-C36 Muse

$300.00 Released August, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Beautiful case work from Lian-Li as usual. Looks like a beautiful high end piece of A/V equipment, would fit in with any type of media setup. Carefully laid out internally to provide space around mb and cable space. can fit some under the mb.

The Cons:Non-standard power supply cannot be replaced if it fails or does not meet expectations. Non-standard 70mm fan cannot be replaced if it fails or does not meet expectations. Difficult to build a quiet yet highly functioning computer in such a small and tight case.

The PC-C36 is a slim media PC case from Lian Li. An upgraded PC-C35 introduced in 2008, the PC-C36 includes a luxurious brushed aluminum finish and many features only found on full sized PC cases such as a removable drive cages, vibration dampening, and an included 70mm side intake fan.

Yale: #lian_li_pc_c36_muse I'm impressed by the amount of power you've been able to throw in there. That is the ultimate HTPC. How is the idle noise? If only they had made it so you could use 120mm fans. It would also be nice if you were using a passive PSU, although I doubt a 120w PICO PSU could fully power the system at load? I could be wrong. muddled: #lian_li_pc_c36_muse Fitted with a good modern mATX this is a wonderfully functional, quiet and good-looking system. I'm running quite an extensive system with E8400, 4GB, 2x500GB disks in raid0, Bluray, a 60GB Apex SSD (velcro'd to the base..). My CPU fan (a Scythe Shuriken low profile) is normally stationary.
