Antec P183

$140.00 Released November, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Drops the front IEEE 1394 FireWire port for an eSATA one. Steel chassis for durability, anti-vibrational properties vs. aluminum. Front door air vents, larger side vents and thinner plastic grills for improved thermals - allows for less impedance to incoming airflow.

The Cons:Internal and back steel structures are left unpainted (not as slick as all black cases). Only a small evolutionary step over previous generations. Nothing stunning aesthetically.

The Antec P183 is an advanced ATX, super mid tower computer case compatible with Mini-ITX, MicroATX, and standard ATX motherboards. It features a dual-chamber design that isolates heat and noise by enclosing the power supply in its own separate chamber.

For additional noise reduction, the P183 also employs Quiet Computer technology via three-layer, sound-deadening side panels and a front door that dampen unwanted PC noise. Plus the case is chockfull of venting for greater airflow and reduced system temperatures; the front door, filters, and drive bay covers all host ventilation slots. Lastly, the Antec P183 is equipped with 11 drive bays, five fans, and 7 expansion slots.
