Antec NSK2480

$110.00 Released January, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Design muffles the sound of internal components and fans. Includes a more than adequate 380W 80 plus certified PSU. Very attractive for use as an HTPC - case design fits right in with stereo equipment.

The Cons:Hard drive mounts are non-traditional - they work, but you need to read the instructions. No optical drive covers / door - off-colour drives look like crap.

The Antec NSK2480 is a mid-range desktop case, designed with small size, low noise and clean aesthetics in mind. The NSK2480 makes use of Mini-ITX and microATX small form factor motherboards, allowing for smaller case size.

Product Shot 2 To try to minimize noise, the designers of the NSK2480 have separated the HDDs and power supply from the rest of the components, taking part of the load off the CPU and VGA fans. Silicone grommets on the HDD mountings are designed to minimize vibration noise. Three speed fans allow for dynamic adjustment of ventilation, based on cooling requirements. The NSK2480 comes with an included 380 watt power supply, and features a clean silver bezel. This small sized desktop case works as a mid-range desktop for home and office, as well as being suitable as an HTPC chassis due to its low noise, size and clean bezel.
